Please follow the setup instructions for the products below.

Elasticsearch

Download and unzip Elasticsearch.

Change the following settings within the path_to_elasticsearch\config\elasticsearch.yml file.

  • clustername to xillio
  • path.data and path.logs according to you needs
  • Set indices.queries.cache.size to 20%

Change the Elasticsearch heap size according to your needs; you can find the settings (-xms and -xmx) in the path_to_elasticsearch\config\jvm.options file. Set the settings to the same value.

You can now run Elasticsearch by executing bin\elasticsearch.bat

Kibana

Download and unzip Kibana.

  • Open config/kibana.yml in an editor
  • Set elasticsearch.hosts to point at your Elasticsearch instance (if you are running Elasticsearch on the same machine you can skip this step.)
  • Add xpack.reporting.csv.maxSizeBytes and set it to 104857600

Browse to the kibanaConfig folder within this project, open the custom.css file and follow the instructions.

You can now run Kibana by executing bin\kibana.bat

Point your browser at http://localhost:5601 and execute the following steps.

  • Goto Settings>Saved Objects and click Import
  • Browse to the kibanaConfig folder within this project and import the config.ndjson file.
  • Set insights_default* as the default index pattern

Follow the the instruction on setting up security here.

Xill IDE

Download and unzip the Xill IDE.

Change the Xill IDE heap size according to your needs; you can find the settings (-xms and -xmx) in the path_to_xillide\app\Xill IDE.cfg file. Set the settings to the same value.

Xillio Insights

Download and unzip Xillio Insights. Add the folder as a project to the Xill IDE.
